SUSTAINABILITY & CARBON REDUCTION POLICY
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, partners, visitors associated with ORWELL workplaces and activities.
Commitment and Principles: We are committed to embedding sustainable practices in our operations, reducing our carbon footprint with an overall aim of lowering the negative impact that our business activity has on the environment.
Our Sustainability & Carbon Reduction Policy is aligned with our company Environmental Policy.
As part of our overall sustainability goals, we are committed to continual improvement in the management and reduction of energy consumption and carbon emissions.
To assist us in achieving our objectives we will undertake the following:
Maintain an ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System and allocate resources to manage our sustainability and carbon reduction commitments.
We will incorporate sustainable building materials, energy-efficient construction methods, and efficient waste management practices, so we can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of construction projects.
We will integrate sustainable principles into construction projects, we can create buildings that are energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and healthier for occupants.
We will encourage suppliers to strive for the same level of environmental care as we provide to offset their carbon footprint.
Assess the energy efficiency of significant energy using plant, equipment and processes during the design and procurement process, including new buildings.

Communicate openly and consult with our stakeholders on sustainability issues.
Actively promoting virtual meetings to connect as a means of reducing travel requirements.
Work in partnership with our clients and suppliers to assist them in achieving sustainable working environments and supporting their sustainability innovations where we can have an impact.
The policy will be reviewed at least every two years to ensure its effectiveness with the business needs. As a result of this review, changes may be made to this policy from time to time and all employees and contractors are required to comply with those changes.
